Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Lingogram: the browser extensions, the website at lingogram.ai, your dictionary at lingogram.ai/app, and the Lingogram plugin for ChatGPT (together, "the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Lingogram helps you learn languages: it shows dual subtitles on supported video sites, lets you save words to a personal dictionary, and schedules them for review. The ChatGPT plugin lets you review and save those words in ChatGPT. Some features need a Lingogram account, and some have usage limits.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity in your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the privacy page).

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in breach of any law, or of the terms of the sites and services it works with;
• attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to bypass the Service's limits or security;
• overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service's servers;
• use the Service to copy or redistribute video content.

4. Your Content

The words, sentences and notes you save remain yours. You give Lingogram permission to store and process them only as needed to provide the Service to you, as described in the privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service works with services we do not control, such as YouTube, Netflix, HDrezka, Google and ChatGPT. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. Lingogram is not affiliated with, authorized, or endorsed by any of them.

6. Translations and AI Output

Definitions, translations and other content produced automatically, including by AI models, may be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your own judgement before relying on them.

7. Changes and Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, and continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or close access to the Service for a user who breaks these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Lingogram is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
